In 2015, the Guilford Green Foundation leaders wanted to find a way to more directly impact the LGBTQ community. An analysis found that Greensboro and greater Guilford County had no dedicated community place that provided resources, programs or support for LGBTQ people.
To meet this critical need, we have opened the LGBTQ Center.
The Center has a part-time Center Manager and dedicated volunteers who provide programs on a broad range of topics, such as healthcare, knowing your legal rights and self-advocacy, college connections, aging, or transgender issues. The Center will also offers meeting space to groups in the community.
The Center is located at 1205 W Bessemer Avenue, Suite 226, Greensboro, NC 27408. To reserve space/time in the center for a program or meeting, please contact Center Manager Melvy Shaw at 336-790-8419 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Space available on first-come, first-served basis, with a capacity of 24 people.
