You are cordially invited to the Greensboro SONG Interest Meeting and Wine Social at 6pm on September 21st, at the International Civil Rights Museum.

What’s happening? Well let’s tell you in our five W’s.

What?
Come out and enjoy the camaraderie of the LGBTQ+ community, for a night of: wine, food, music, history, brilliance, and liberation. Bring a friend and learn about SONG’s expansion into Greensboro, look at projects from their members, and get ready to start work towards building upon the beacon of resistance here in Greensboro’s LGBTQ+ community.

Who?
SONG stands for Southerners on New Ground and represents everyone within the LGBTQ+ community who is looking to establish liberation and justice for their community in the south. Some of their work includes: funding member initiatives such as House of Pentacles, the Black Mama Bail Out, and our very active electoral justice movements. We can’t sum up everything in one email so come out and learn more.

SONG nationally and locally invites: immigrants, undocumented people, those differently abled, people of color, working class folks, or rural people to join and attend this social. Accommodations and planning has been set to provide a space for all those in the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

House of Pentacles will be presenting a short documentary and DJ Mxtr. Noir will provide music!

Why?
You are invited not only because your voice and interest in queer liberation matters, but because Greensboro SONG is creating a community for us. LGBTQ+  spaces exist, but not enough, starting with your attendance we hope to build a better space, and through our advocacy a better Greensboro
