June 7th QTBIPOC: Earthworks Acupuncture with Dr. Joy Rosa
If you are a member of the Q.T.B.I.P.O.C. (Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color) community, on June 7th 6-8 pm at Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center, come meet Dr. Joy Rosa, MAcOM/DAOM. Dr. Rosa is passionate and committed to radically transforming healthcare services, by making traditional medicines, such as acupuncture & preventative care, accessible to the Greater Greensboro community. Over the past decade she has dedicated herself to learning about the history and application of Indigenous East Asian Medicine. As a patient, student, teacher, and herbal pharmacist, she has had many unique experiences while working within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). During her five years as an Intern and her eleven-year career, Dr. Rosa has gained valuable experience helping with pain management, substance overuse and abuse, mental health, and more while working with hundreds of patients within the scope of TCM. She enjoys the co-creative healing space made during treatments and seeks to reciprocally empower her patients through the organic medicine offered through Earthworks Acupuncture. Come learn how she uses the transformative knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to support Greensboro’s first community-funded, mobile acupuncture and holistic wellness clinic, Earthworks Acupuncture. You can contact her on Instagram @earthworksacu, by phone at 336-405-0078, or email at info@earthworksacu.org.
