Thanks to everyone who was able to come out on Friday night to help us celebrate the Founders of Guilford Green Foundation! We were all so fortunate to hear an important and inspiring message from LGBTQ rights pioneer (and creator of the AIDS Memorial Quilt) Cleve Jones. We are grateful to our Founders for their vision, 20 years ago, which led them to create Guilford Green Foundation. To our Founders who were unable to be present Friday night, you were missed.

Please visit our photo gallery and Facebook page to see lots of great photos from the event, thanks to Scott Russell!

A few words from special guest Cleve Jones…
The year I was 15, both of my parents had medical issues and surgeries, and there were a lot of sleeping pills and pain pills in the house. I began to pilfer them one at a time, because I knew that at some point I would be discovered and there would be only one way out. You would like to think that we’ve moved beyond that, but one of the reasons your organization is important is that we still have so many of our LGBT kids choosing to take their own lives — and if that is the only reason you needed to keep giving and doing the work you’re doing, you have it right there.

In honor of our 20th anniversary, we are asking you to donate $20/month for one year. Your contribution will allow us to offer programming that addresses the needs of underserved populations in our community.

With your generosity, we will be able to fulfill our mission of creating unity through programming and philanthropy that advances equality and inclusion for the LGBTQ community!
