What is Find Your Light?
Find Your Light is a scholarship fund managed by the Guilford Green Foundation for Prismatic Speech Services. Donations will be used to partially cover eligible transgender people’s pursuit of transgender vocal training.
Why Donate to Find Your Light?
The financial barriers the transgender community faces are well documented. By giving to the Prismatic Scholarship Fund, your money will go directly to reducing the economic disparities the transgender community faces.
Donations received are tax-deductible and will be used to partially cover the cost of receiving transgender vocal training, a service many people in the transgender community need and want but oftentimes can’t afford due to general economic disparities faced by the transgender community and low rates of insurance coverage. For eligible clients, their work with Prismatic Speech Services will be covered up to 90%. Transgender community members who are interested in receiving partial coverage will need to submit proof of annual household income; this will determine eligibility and how much the fund will cover. About Prismatic Speech Services
Prismatic Speech Services is a transgender-owned speech-language pathology private practice in Greensboro, NC which specializes in transgender vocal training. Owned by Kevin Dorman (they/them), Prismatic Speech Services serves transgender people across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia online using video conferencing software, also known as telepractice. They also see clients in their Greensboro-based office.
