EQUALITY. DIVERSITY. INCLUSION.

Building a united, thriving community in greater Greensboro.

Welcome! Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center seeks to courageously unite our community through meaningful participation and by fostering organizations that advance LGBTQ persons and issues.

We are hiring!

GGF is looking for a Communications Manager and a Community Support Manager.

Communications Manager: The Communications Manager is responsible for developing a communications plan that tells our story across multiple media platforms. This position serves as the backbone of our communications strategy and coordinates communication across all departments. The Communications Manager works collaboratively with a team to advance organizational goals.

Community Support Manager: The Community Support Manager will serve and support the LGBTQ community by providing direct service crisis management, resources, and referrals. The Community Support Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for all members of the LGBTQ community. The Community Support Manager is the first person a guest interacts with when calling or visiting the center and will need to have a strong background in crisis counseling, meeting people where they are, and providing community resources.

The Community Support Manager will work in collaboration with the GGF team to ensure that the LGBTQ Center is a visible and effective resource for the LGBTQ community and is represented in communitywide efforts that align with GGF’s organizational priorities and values. The Community Support Manager will connect with community members and collaborate with programming staff to identify best practices for trauma-informed programming that builds and supports resilience.

Will you make a life-changing donation to Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center today? It’s frustrating to read the news and see the rising number of attacks on LGBTQ rights. Elected officials are openly sharing discriminatory views and likening gay and transgender people to “filth.”

We must come together and fight attempts to erase the progress toward equality that we have made in the past 25 years. The unavoidable truth is that we need more money to meet today’s challenges.

You have the power to help us raise $150,000 to create safe, affirming spaces for the 3,000+ people we serve every year.

Nick got involved with us through our youth leadership program where he developed the self-confidence and skills to be a role model and a resource for other LGBTQ students.

“If anyone asks me how I got to where I am today, I point them toward GGF,”

Nick said. “It might change your life – it really changed mine.”

Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center provides vital resources for the LGBTQ community. Your gift will give people like Nick access to mental health support, social activities, educational programs, and so much more.

There are countless stories about youth that have benefited from our programs, but our goal is to create an inclusive community that confronts inequality and discrimination and provides sustainable resources for ALL LGBTQ people.
